Travel Report Great Britain 2006

The holiday destination this year was already known in 2005. We were invited for the wedding of Amy’s cousin. Since both of us wanted to see more of the country we decided to stay in Wales for 2 weeks. … and that we certainly did!

This travel report is not built up of our day to day experiences, but more as a guide to the region. To put it different: what´s there to do, see and to undertake ? The area we explored roughly contained a triangle between the places Cardiff, Swansea and Brecon.

Beacons Horseshoe

Why worthwhile? THE tour in the “Brecon Beacons”, with a climb of Beacon’s highest: “Pen y Fan”.

Pontsticill

Why worthwhile? Quiet forest paths with a beautiful view of the large “Pontsticill Reservoir”. From the lake also a view of the “Brecon Beacons”.
